as the absentee ballots continue to be counted, as expected, Kyrsten Sinema, the democratic nominee and first LGBT Senator has now pulled AHEAD of Martha McSally after results had McSally in a slight lead by 16,000 votes before the provisional and absentee ballots were counted.

But most of these ballots were in districts that Sinema was doing better than McSally and she is now 9000 votes ahead.

The Republicans are desperately trying to hang on to Jeff Flake's old seat to retain a stronger senate majority but the Democrats may have another seat in its numbers and ultimately only lost ONE seat in this election..

Although the seat in Mississippi is now in a run off between the Republican and Democrat nominee since none reached 50%, it's unlikely the Democrat Mike Espy can overtake Cindy Hyde Smith.

Good, looked like the Green party had screwed their own side out of a Senate seat previously (she was down by less than 1% and the Green Party candidate had over 2% of the votes).

They were still pretty dumb to run someone in a tight race and risk tossing the seat to the Republicans, though.

Even worse was that the Green candidate withdrew from the race and endorsed Sinema days before the election. People still chose to vote for her

Days before is way too late.

Especially when there's early voting. People probably didn't even realize she had dropped out.

Don't worry though, the GOP was literally suing to stop the state from counting early votes while the republican trash was ahead.
