I think Error might be the last mod in this competition, all others have been eliminated. Error has nothing new to share, so let's move on to Machete's new answers: ImTheMacheteGuy - What is your favorite video-game? This is too difficult to answer. I don't have any single favorite. I have a bunch that I like and really whichever one would be at the top of this list would be whichever one I currently desire to play the most. Skyrim, Diablo 3, Cuphead, various Touhou game, Pokemon Go are pretty much the ones I've been playing recently, but I have plenty of others I have previously enjoyed but don't play anymore or don't have convenient enough access to. - What future aspirations do you hold? Basically to be god of my own personal universe. Aside from that, probably just random mundane shit that I don't really feel like putting effort into and probably won't bother trying to actually achieve, as I'm in a pretty apathetic mood at the moment... or something that is extremely unlikely by mathematical probability alone, such as winning the mega millions grand prize when it's at a billion or more. Making it to round 3 of this thing and maybe further would be nice, but I have a feeling Error's got me soundly beat here. - When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Various things, some based on logic, some based on having a young child's underdeveloped mind. When I was like 3 or 4, I wanted to be a ballet dancer because my parents played classical music vinyl records (I want that time period detail to be known >_>) that were I guess originally composed for ballet... so not a particularly informed aspiration. My mother took me to a ballet class one day and I had an absolute and complete meltdown within a matter of seconds because I wasn't used to being in an unfamiliar room with like over a hundred people and didn't know how to handle it. That was the end of that idea... In early elementary school, I wanted to be a train conductor or engineer or some shit like that. I guess I liked trains. Brief stint of wanting to be an MLB player when I was into baseball a few years later. Video game designer/creator in jr. high/high school. - Are hotdogs sandwiches? Is pizza an open-faced sandwich? An argument happened at work over that question. I was not really involved in it. I just kinda walked in on it and then stirred it up again later. I'm kind of a conflict catalyst like that. I hear co-workers arguing about dumb bullshit and then I make a joke about it later and it starts again and gets heated and I'm like ">_>... oops?" and slink away. One such argument involved one of them melting down, snapping "Fuck ALL OF YOU GUYS!!" and storming out and going home early. He was the boss' brother though so he didn't get in trouble. He's moved on to a new job since and we don't really have random stupid pointless arguments anymore. Guess even though I shit-stirred them up, he was probably the initial source. Normally I enjoy a good nitpicky semantic argument, but I have to care about the subject at hand. I don't care enough about how "sandwich" is defined to have a strong opinion, so the tl;dr answer is "Maybe they are, maybe they aren't. I don't give a fuck either way." Got into that game back in high school and didn't really have any resources for it, and given conversations with the friend who got me into it, I missed like a lot in my playthrough. It was frustrating. The internet was just becoming mainstream. I had actually made per-minute phone calls to game developers' for-pay hotlines to get tips a few times in the past when physical 'strategy guides' failed me or were unavailable. Imagine living in those times. Anyway, I consulted the internet any time I wanted to know something. Searches (pre-Google) kept bringing me here to this site and the FAQs it had. Eventually I was just like "fuck it. I'll just keep using this site and I'll make an account and post too." (Feel free to uncensor that. Actually please do >_>) - What are your interests Machetes, other weapons, a handful of random games though I'm casual... Cuphead, Diablo 3 and Pokemon Go are the ones I play most these days, Reality TV competition shows like Survivor and Big Brother (not just US versions either). Aside from that, I mostly dabble in whatever random stuff usually not long term. - Fun facts about yourself I was in a Survivor/Big Brother competition here several years ago. 100 people signed up and competed. 3 sequels have spawned, with season 5 happening in a few months. Unlike US Survivor/BB, these competitions have a lot of people in them. Season 4 had the smallest roster, with 45 players. Season 2, of which I was a co-host, began with 132 players. Not all actively invested. Still, in that first edition, with 100 players, the odds of winning started off at 1%. I won. That was something else :P. I'm adopted and I've never knowingly met a person that I'm biologically related to. I recently took a DNA test. I've been told I'm roughly half English and roughly half Portuguese. I got my results tonight. Literally tonight. July 30th 2018 in case this is pasted to the topic on the later date. I am typing this message with information that I've had access to for only the past few hours of my 35 years of life. Portugal was always emphasized as the origin of my biological father's family. The test shows only 15% for the Iberian Peninsula (Portugal and Spain). For the English side (my biological mother), Great Britain shows up at 4%, but more importantly Scotland/Ireland/Wales hits the top spot at 26%. Southern and Eastern Europe make up a combined 30-something percent, between Italy, Greece, much of Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Belarus etc. and overlapping in the middle with Croatia, Serbia and Bulgaria. I can't say this doesn't make sense... but I've never understood how it could make sense, and I don't really know how to explain that. Also, 8% Native American. Just thought I'd share because fuck it and I literally just found this out within the past few hours. For the previous 35 years, it's been 50% Portuguese? 50% Britain/British Territories? The official reason given to me was for using there when I should have used their, but the real reason was that I was just an annoying little derp at that time. I created an account here and started posting mostly on the MGS3 board as Metal Gear Solid is my favorite game series. - What are your interests My main non-gaming interest is hockey. I am proudly a Pittsburgh Penguins' season ticket holder, and if I can manage to do it I will be one for the rest of my life. My first game I've gone to in person was in 1998 when I was ten years old. I will never forget the feeling of first seeing a hockey game in person and realizing how close the ice is to you, no matter where you are at. I got to see a little kid of about that age have that same experience last year during a game I attended and I was filled with a lot of nostalgic feelings and knew that kid was sold as a hockey fan for life just the same. I just really love hockey. I am also a die hard Coheed and Cambria fan. I've seen them in concert over 10 times, including seeing them play my favorite album of theirs in full on my birthday. - Fun facts about yourself I helped ran a Metal Gear Solid fansite from 2006-2009, and I was invited to go to E3 with other site staff member Nitroid in 2007. I sadly was only 17 until October that year and thus couldn't actually get a pass.
