I have low functioning ASD kids for outpatient then I have in home clients. Most are smaller children, but there are some teens.

I mean, I have a degree and to be honest I saw a lot of shit i didn't like within the field and abusive of power. Also, it was literally mind numbing. The pay at this job is better, with a much nicer hourly schedule. The biggest downsides are the complete lack of overtime and no pension.

I don't want to go too much into it because there are investigations and everything. But people getting arrested for serious shit and then their discipline would be they can't arm up (due to legal issues) and they have to work in the jail.
Some really scumbag stuff so it staff on staff and they tried to sweep it under the rug until it came out that there were texts and he basically admitted he sexually assaulted a lower ranking deputy and was asked to resign before the criminal charges were brought up so the news couldn't get a hold of it.

It was just all too shady for me to be okay with.
Plus, the hours were awful.

Tell them to stop beating their wives and getting Lautenbergd.

At least thats what I saw guys getting in trouble for.

I got suspended for confronting the sexual assaulting guy. They claimed I was threatening co-workers. I said only the 1 attempted rapist. I got suspended he didn't even though he was under investigation and worked directly with this female officer.

That helped.
