Kirby has a richer history while Isaac is the MC character of a mostly forgotten story incomplete rpg series.
The last Golden Sun was in 2010(the third game of the franchise) & Isaac wasn't even the MC or party member in it meaning he hasn't been relevant in his own franchise since 2003(going by Lost Age's US release year) or the main focus since the first game seeing as your MC in Lost Age(the second game) was Felix. He had one Smash appearance, but during a time when people were a lot more hyped for other new character reveals. Kirby has 20+ games, one of the pillar franchises of Nintendo, and had a new game come out in March of 2018. Not to mention a cartoon show back when Saturday morning cartoons were relevant. Let's not even mention his appearances in the smash series(been in everyone of them) & non-Nintendo properties(like the annoying vs series).
