I don't think so, Trump bought them a mountain of life time supporters with his cult, as long as he's around they don't need a filter, they don't need to try to appeal to people they hate, if Trump hadn't jumped into the race 2 years ago they probably would have lost to Clinton and we'd have a more liberal Supreme Court, to upset Trump is to alienate their base who while they despise liberals would see anti trumpers as liberals and not vote for them, they'd be voting for a third party or they'd flat out not vote at all.

Our economy is better than it has almost ever been. The only thing that compares to Trump's economic success in US history is the golden age Reagan got us into in the 90s. Reagan is fondly remembered mainly because he came in on the tail end of a huge recessionthat was on the brink of rebound (which he took credit for the recovery of with his kill-the-poor voodoo economics schemes) and due to the Iran hostage situation. Trump's version of the Iran hostage situation was the NK talks which fell into the toilet, and he came into a good economy that people are expecting to go into a downturn within the next two years that he's going to be blamed for.

He won't get the Reagan treatment by anyone but the absolute craziest people. The Republicans are going to throw him under the bus like they do just about everyone that underperforms as soon as it's safe to do so.

Theyll talk about American politics and use Trump as being emblematic of the partisan shift. Weve seen populist leaders like him before, and weve seen nationalism rear its ugly head time and time again, so unless he does something god awful or brilliant, he probably wont be a big deal as far as presidents go. Unless something major is discovered by Mueller that puts him in prison, but I doubt that will happen.
