Animaniacs had a fair amount of weak characters that weren't as funny. Tiny Toons in general was more consistent overall.

Tiny Toons was a good "modern day" equivalent of Loonie Tunes (in the early 90s), but I think Animaniacs really was more effective at grabbing kids' attention in the mid 90s

I can't really judge now as I haven't seen either show in like almost 20 years or so, but I remember watching Tiny Toons more than Animaniacs.

Are we going by what was more influential or what aged better?

Tiny Toons opened the floodgates, but Anamaniacs holds up much better. Like The Witcher and The Witcher 2. The first was great at the time and made way for Witcher 2, but the first hasn't aged well.

I agree actually

Animaniacs was a slightly higher quality show, but the stories in Tiny Toon's were often times slightly grounded more in the real world (at least in the way it dealt with actual problems kids may go through) and I think that made it more fun to watch.

Plus I don't think there was ever a direct-to-vhs movie that was better than How I Spent My Vacation

Still, they were two cartoons that were way ahead of their time

*Side Note* One of the reasons this is still my favorite time of year is because around this time I'd get home from elementary school, go to my grandmas, have a snack and watch those shows back to back. I'd then go outside and play until the sun was about to go down. I still think about those times every year around this month

I disagree. Animaniacs was the writing team firing on all cylinders.

Animaniacs had the whole Hollywood lot motif that let them riff on celebrity tea and media drama only adults would have been able to catch, giving it universal appeal. By comparison, Tiny Toons didn't really do anything with it's 'comedy college' setting, not even the nods to the older WB cartoons and the ways the industry had changed, which seems like it ought to have been obvious. When I look at Tiny Toons, I have to ask why this and not Looney Tunes?

I will say if Animaniacs had just been The Warner Brothers, Pinky & The Brain, And Good Feathers, it'd be the better show.

But there were too many episodes where the great satire/lampooning modern entertainment was interrupted with trash like Buttons and Mindy, Hip Hippos, random other stuff...

Like I said, Tiny Toons was more consistently funny IMO since basically the entire cast was entertaining.

The Tiny Toons summer vacation movie was better than anything the Animaniacs ever did.

Otherwise I'm not sure if I agree.

Neither aged well completely. They were very 90's.

Animaniacs did have better jokes that can make people laugh today tho.

Tbqh I feel like both aged just fine. I don't see what's wrong with a work being a product of its time.
