I started playing the dlc before the final boss and didn't get too far. I tend to drink faster when I get frustrated, so I was getting hammered playing Bloodborne for a month or so

Only because you can disable invasions by killing a certain mob in several zones. They stay dead until you summon a partner.

Mine goes BB-DS-DS3 but they're all close.

And I've only played dark souls on my 360, but the atmosphere really brings me in more than ds3.

It's hard for me, because I like Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, and Dark Souls II for all different reasons. Demon's Souls had the best atmosphere and I liked the idea of 'worlds', Dark Souls had nostalgia, the best connectivity, and some great moments, and II was probably the best system with decent puzzles, good matchmaking, a better covenant system, better multiplayer, and just generally was a better put together game. Also, I know people hated II for having so many castles and stuff like that, but I liked the 'castles and dragons' setting.

Bloodborne was a bit too arcadey for me, and I found the setting incredibly grating after awhile (oh look, another villager filled lovecraftian London). I also felt the bosses lacked variety and were largely forgettable. III was cool and I loved the nods to the rest of the series, but it was so fucking linear and the map layout was shit.
