Here you have two great movies about hostile extra terrestrials, created independent of one another, and they fit each other so well. The Aliens, the bad guys, are all about procreation. All they care about is reproducing... at the expense of other species. The Predators, the de-facto "good guys," are all about destruction. They hunt purely for sport.

I understand that, in the arcade game, you could play as a human or Predator characters. One of the humans is Dutch from the first Predator movie. In the 16-bit console game, you could only play as the Predator. I really like the idea that you're never allowed to play as the Alien. I know there are some games which let you play as the xenomorph, but that really shouldn't be an option. The Predator may sometimes be your friend, but the Alien should always be your enemy.

I just got through with the SNES game and, while insanely repetitive, the story it told was better than the movies. It's just amazing how some writers can mess up the most simple of concepts.

Regaining health with the brain eating attack was bomb, don't front dawg.

I've only played the SNES version. In that game, you regain health by picking up what looks like batteries.
