Space Marines, Deathwatch, and Grey Knights have smaller armies (they cost more in-game points to play), so if you want to maximize how far your dollars will take you, they're the ones to focus on.

Tau and Necrons are in the next tier down. After that, Chaos Demons, Imperial Guard, and Orks, in roughly that order (unless you're angling to put together a Guard armoured company). That said, I'd recommend picking an army that suits your playstyle, as you'll have more fun with it.

Kill 1 man: You are a murderer. Kill 10 men: You are a monster.
Kill 100 men: You are a hero. Kill 10,000 men, you are a conqueror!

Just save your money for Sisters, as they'll be all-new sculpts that won't be replaced for at least another 20 years.
Guard is due for a revamp soon, so that's out. And there's no future for non-Primaris marines.

Ya, I already have a very large Marine army, so if I were to pick up DeathWatch or Grey Knights it would only be a smaller set piece... but something like Tau or Necron would be an entire army.

You need to be a god at edge highlighting to make Tau look good.

If you do a google some of these expensive sex dolls look pretty good.

Although from what I've heard they can be pretty hard to clean because of how heavy and large the entire doll is.
