during Weekend Update they for some reason decided to laugh at some guy who lost an eye in war. and he was compared to "a hitman in some porno movie". I don't even understand that exactly. but the guy on the desk laughed and people in the audience thought it was funny too. but maybe they just had a sign light up that said "laugh"

I don't get why it was supposed to be funny. also supposedly the man who made the joke had his dad die in 9/11 so.....I am very confused on why he did this

So what. If they weren't mocking his actions during the war then who gives a fuck. Making a joke about his appearance is nothing. It's not like they were making fun of his time as a POW like a certain president

Ehhhhh, in the context of the whole skit, it's not as bad. He's going through and roasting a bunch of people based on how they look, kinda like how Jimmy Fallon does players from sports teams. He also roasts a democrat, and at the very end of it all, he roasts himself. I mean yeah as a rule you shouldn't make fun of war wounds of course, but in context the skit isn't as bad as it seems when you just read the headline.

Ive used the "throw myself under the bus, to softin the blow when I blast you" tactic my whole life. Literally works everytime. Never met someone who was so easily butthurt until I go online. It's basically saying "Im gonna make fun of you but I definitely don't feel like Im better than you".

yup, which makes his petulant behavior even more amusing and bizarre. he's literally one of the most powerful people in the entire world and he still flips the fuck out when someone calls him a mean name. just imagine being a world leader who cannot handle any sort of criticism.
