Ive always heard about being paid for it and figured there has to be a catch or it was a complicated process. This whole thing has been super easy and its $75 per visit for my first 3.

Anyone else here ever do it?

I did it once but I don't have the time or willingness to do it regularly.

I didn't know about this
I did research about sperm donation and this DOES NOT worth the money, at least not here

I had some friends in college donate plasma. They were dead broke, so they went as frequently as they could. After a while, they started developing these really gnarly bruises on their arms around the injection sites. They were pretty gross to look at. That dissuaded me from giving it a try, but I think it's fine as long as you don't donate too often.

I donate whole blood for free every now and again. I heard about the whole getting paid for plasma donations thing, but never looked into it.

Apparently people can donate 9 times a month which seems excessive to me. Ill stick to no more than twice.

I've donated whole blood a few times, and platelets a few times.

Neither is that bad, but platelets is a long process.

I did it in school a decent amount

Trouble was you had to make sure to come at certain days and times otherwise the place was packed and youd be waiting for a long time before your turn

Oh when I say it smells, I don't mean it's dirty.

There's a formaldehyde-like smell in the air that I hate.

If I'm remembering right, you can donate twice every week (with a few days between donations) as long as all of your stats are and remain normal. Plasma should regenerate after 24-48 hours. The only thing that might be an issue is how fast your bruises heal.

Kinda strange reading about how it works in the USA. Over here (belgium) you don't get paid and you can only go twice a month (14 days in between).
Blood once every three months.

I try to go every other Monday as I can just go there, relax, and read a book while plugged into the machine.
