yeah i tried the caffeine cut down and i always felt in a brain fog and out of it, even after months. i need caffeine to keep up, it is what it is. I've cut out everything else (smoking, etc) so could be worse

The grogginess could be a number of things. Low iron, salts, electrolytes etc.

You don't need it to function
you are addicted either mentally or physically
seek help in learing to ween off of it so you may one day be free of the evil hold it has over you

Yeah, it's called addiction. I still do caffeine, but I'm happy to be off energy drinks now.

What helped me was going broke and not being able to spend money on expensive energy drinks
