I thought I was prepared for the emotions that I'd go through with all this and I definitely wasn't. Then we went to the graveyard to witness the burial. I saw my grandparents' graves for the first time and I lost it pretty hard.

Been there. I would say this much and I know it doesn't sound uh, positive. But I feel that it is.
Losing a parent especially but anyone close to you. It never stops hurting. You never get over it. You will always miss them. What doesn happen is you simply learn to accept it and move forward. And yes, that's the part that takes time. The first year is the worst. The first holidays, birthdays, etc. --- FFVII Remake: A disaster in the making. Condolences
I know how that feels because I lost my mom to cancer 5 years ago and I still think about her all the time it especially gets sad when she always used to say that she wished I had kids unfortunately the kids came years after she died... --- Not changing this sig until I think of something else to put on here ...
