I remember when they were a big thing and I just looked them up and it seems like they have released stuff recently but I never really hear about them anymore

They're like Infowars guys now. I think they won a Grammy for their truly wretched conspiracy album. They were already writing preposterously stupid lyrics back in the guitar hero days when they got big but they really stepped up their idiot game for like The Resistance and they've been unlistenable to me since then. They're definitely still huge though

I used to love them so I still check in to see how bad they've gotten and still think about going when they sell out the hockey stadium here

The last album I heard was dubstep or some shit.

Use to listen to them years ago. Knights of Cydonia was a good song.

I played Knights of Cydonia a lot in GH.

I was never super into them to begin with but I think Uprising was a big breaking point for me. The melody and whatnot are okay but talk about some cheesy lyrics, and it was like the most overplayed rock song of its time by far. The last song I remember was that horrifically boring "muh-muh-muh-muh-madness" one and I think I heard one song after that but don't remember anything about it

I get them and My Chemical Romance confused, but I don't like either of them.

Idk what "left leaning libertarian" is supposed to mean to them, but their "Drones" album was dead on about Obama's drone strikes, people are 100% in the right to hate him over that.

Does he like Trump, though? A true Infowars nutjob endlessly glorifies Trump for doing everything they criticised Obama for. Otherwise I call bs. Muse is way too smart for that, come on. >_>

Does MCR sound like them? I don't remember what any of their songs sound like but I thought they were an emo band. Matt Bellamy can sound kind of whiny sometimes but I wouldn't say Muse is emo

The two 2000s bands I really get mixed up are Fall Out Boy and Panic at the Disco

It's grade school shit. Of course they were right about drone strikes and of course left leaning libertarian just means you're a republican who gets squeamish about white nationalist rhetoric. They think they're smart because they read 1984

I haven't listened to anything new since about 2013 but I have a spattering of their stuff in my playlist up 'til then.

Yeah, idk what this obviously biased article is doing, I thought the gaurdian was independent. Their source behind their logic is literally "Matt doesn't let Republicans use his songs at rallies because he doesn't like them" and "he tries to put down Obama". Won't someone think of Obama?
