I had K.Rool as my star for the division, but Shep as a turd is nearly as appropriate. Still not as bad as Draven though.

Vincent. Dude almost lost to a character who was defeated by Sandbag and hes supposed to be one of the strongest non-N9. Just a completely embarrassing performance. Draven was always gonna look bad so Im not sure why hes winning. He was a mega turd the first time before the rally happened so we already knew he was mega ultra colossal fodder

I mean, there's turbofodder, and then there's Draven. Draven just put up a Tanner (sub Tanner?) level performance.

Draven is not a surprise, everyone could see it coming. With no rallies and Amateratsu being someone that's strong, but not strong enough to be antivoted, it was the perfect storm for a blowout.
On the other hand, Vincent used to hang out with the NN and now he might lose to a Sandbag.

Draven's up there, but Riku flopped so hard, aside from Sans he's probably the weakest character in that eightpack

I don't get why Shepard is being considered a turd here. This is a new(er) character going 1-on-1 with a Nintendo character. Him winning isn't a star performance, but it's at least DECENT.

I dunno, if you think this performance is weak against K. Rool, I would say that an FF lead from like, the second or third-most popular FF game, losing to K. Rool's protagonist is more humiliating than Shepard still beating K. Rool.

DK's an icon and known to all generations, across multiple games, in multiple major crossovers like Mario Kart, Smash, and in nearly every Mario sports games. he's also consistently getting new games, with a new game on every Nintendo console as the handhelds generally get ports.

K. Rool is straight up Smash hype and a handful of games.

I really think you're underrating K. Rool. I'd say that he's a more memorable Nintendo villain than King Dedede, and Dedede nearly beat the quintessential MGS villain (granted, Smash boost...but still). Nintendo seems pretty strong this year in general.

One of the reasons I put down Shepard as a flop is because unlike 90% of the western guys that have flopped, he has proven he has had legitimately good strength in past contests, so he looks to me like he has had a much steeper drop in strength

LFF from Falcon or not, Diddy got alarmingly close to Kratos Aurion in his only match, and normally I would never predict K. Rool to be stronger than Diddy. Basically Shepard is struggling to put away a trailer.
