Board 8 > So REVII is kind of matching RE4 for how much I'm enjoying it so far.

The clunky controls are about the only drawback. Even for the lack of character Ethan has, I'm really loving what little quips we do get out of him.

"A fucking knife?"

"That is NOT groovy!"

"What the fuck? Well that's special."

The puzzles early on are a nice callback to the early days of the series and as you progressively get more firepower I'm assuming it'll take on the action parts from later in the series.

I'm almost totally through the Old House, right now. Think I'm about to take on Marguerite.

Jack was a psychotic joy to battle through and that last fight was fun as shit despite me dying a whole bunch.

Slowly piecing the story together in my head through the subtle clues you get is also a nice callback to early RE.

It's been like 9/10 so far, the controls being the only draw back.

so for someone who mostly liked but never finished RE4 and also never really got into the rest of the series, would you recommend it?

I would always recommend RE4 to anyone because it's one of the best games of all time.

I should not have gotten Red Dead Redemption 2 before I beat this.
