Younger me was quite the bully and criminal. Today I am almost the opposite. I want to say i matured, but really I'm just trying to make up for all the damaged I've caused.

Not kid me, but when I was 17-18 I was very emotional and it was easy to hurt me. I would sometimes cry after arguments with my then gf

I'm 24 now, and witnessing the death of loved ones, the cold mechanical working world, and generally just seeing some fucked up shit, has left me extremely stoic, almost emotionless at times

Except for my height, and obvious mental/intelligence developments, I am pretty much the same person I was when I was a kid. Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional.

That's what my dad did. He was an alcoholic though, and I learned in middle school those traits are hereditary, so I was scared off from ever drinking alcohol. In his 50s-60s, he was drinking two 40 ounces of Steel Reserve a day. After a few years, he actually got sick from it one day, went to the hospital, and they told him to stop drinking. The effects of the resulting hangover literally killed him.

Had a short temper when I was younger, and would throw hands at the slightest provocation. Now I don't let shit get to me. Now if someone calls me a Mick, it's a lot more fun to mock them, get them really mad, and bait them into punching a cop.

I was fat as a kid and not Im thin. I can handle social situations much better, but that seems par for the course.

In a negative sense, I am much less extroverted and I have less motivation to socialize. I always had friends as a kid and now, my friendships are mostly casual and quick visits as opposed to established friend groups.

Being an adult has shown me other sides of people that Ive known for years. Now that my friends work for a living and have families, I have developed a character flaw to being very cynical and untrusting. I have a tendency to think that everybody is trying to take me for advantage or simply use me to better themselves. Thats simply not true, but I have dealt with it enough to where its made me wary of dealing with people who dont have their own money.
