Just to clarify, I only hate doing it myself. I don't hate the concept or begrudge people who do it.

I just can't watch the same show for more than like two hours tops without just feeling miserable and bored. I could watch two episodes of three different shows in a single sitting though.

I do kind of lament that, when a show comes out, a lot of my friends binge the entire thing in one or two days, but I want to take my time with it. By the time I've finished it, they've moved on to another show. It makes me feel kind of sad and left behind, I guess?

Nah. The only thing I don't like about it is that I miss the conversations and theories between episodes (with stuff like Netflix where they release it all at once). Loved all that during stuff like True Detective.

So if I'm binging a show (for example Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) I like to read the avclub recap and discussions on Reddit after each episode as I go.

I feel bad if I do more than 3ish hours of TV watching in a single day.

I hate binging short shows, like Amazon's Man in the High Castle, because if it's good it's over that much sooner. Longer stuff I'm alright binging.

I don't hate it if it's a great show. The only thing I don't like is I have to wait a year for the next season. So when the next season rolls around I forgot wtf happened unless I rewatch it.

I used to do it a lot as a teenager but I can't do it anymore. I get more anxious about my video game backlog than TV so if I have a long stretch of time available I'm gaming.

Yeah, taking breaks between episodes helps a lot with retention. Although with Lost I would watch 2-3 eps in a row. I never really did that with any other show except maybe Breaking Bad and Community.

That is always annoying. I don't know if Netflix does but I know Amazon for some of their original shows will put a refresher video for previous seasons up before the newest one releases.

Weekly discussion is the thing I really love about watching seasonal anime. I watched this absolute trainwreck of a show last year called King's Game. It was fun to chat with people each week and basically share in the misery of how terrible it was. There's basically no reason to binge it now, unless you're doing it with a group where you know no one will watch ahead.

Yeahhhh Netflix does, but it's just such a gap in between still. I love having no commercials but I almossst want them to spread new episodes out weekly.
