I needed to gather $600 for my coworker to borrow by tomorrow so she didn't get kicked out of her apartment with her kids. First thing I sold 3 of my NVidia stocks for $600 only to realize it would take 2-5 days for the deposit to go through. I set up a wired connection only to realize I couldn't cancel a pending transaction.

After that I googled "cash now" (all those "cash now" ads I keep hearing on TV) and found one loan with a 500% fee, and one with a 25% fee. Obviously, those were out of the question.

After searching and Googling, I found out you can get a cash advance from your credit card. I dug around for my credit card and activated it, and found a 24/7 ATM that gave me the moolah.

I was about to give up a couple times. :P Let no one say I am entirely a horrible person. My karma was apparently the fact that NVidia kept taking a shit after I sold it at $205 yesterday and that saved me money. Bought 3 @$195, sold 3 @$205. $30 - $10 brokerage fee = $20 gain, woop.

Yeah, she's one of my more reliable coworkers. I think I'm a good judge of character.

The only thing that might get her to do something funny is if she can't pay me back out of desperation. She was crying at work yesterday and initially declined my offer.
