I joined a dental plan for $99 dollars. Just went to the dentist this month and the plan expires Nov 12. I think only one woman works customer service because she keeps sending emails, calls, and letters asking me to renew. She was the one who signed me up and is on the site's webchat.

If I go to the dentist every 6 months and I sign up now, I'd basically be wasting money for 6 months not doing anything. According to their FAQ, you can sign up and see a dentist on the same day. Shouldn't I just wait until I have to go for a cleaning again?

Even for an emergency situation, I could technically sign up right before I go. What am I missing here?
