Whether you can literally get to one place from another or even if you can just see a place youre going or where youve been. Its one of my favorite parts of these games.

1) My all-time favorite is realizing that the Celestial Emissary is on the roof of the Grand Cathedral where you fight Vicar Amelia, and Ebrietas is in the basement. This is so sneakily done that Ive had people tell me Im wrong when Ive mentionrd it in the past, but you can track how you cross back into the building from the Upper Ward and it is MAGNIFICENT design

2) I love in the original Dark Souls how many places you can see. The connectivity is well documented, but I love looking down from Firelink and seeing Blighttown/Great Hollow far below, or up from the Basin and seeing Undead Burg, or how you can see for miles from certain outdoor parts of Sens

Definitely. I wanna head back up there and check out what I can see. I imagine you can see most of the Parish/Burg at least.

Can probably see Darkroot too, come to think of it.

Just went back to the top of Sen's Fortress for giggles and found one I'd never seen -- you can see the roof of the Parish, where you fight the gargoyles, from the Anor Londo ring of light.

Can't you see Lost Izalith from the Catacombs/Tomb of the Giants? I think that one, or Undead Parish/Blighttown having shortcuts into Firelink Shrine.

the one thing DS2 did better than 1 is PvP

1 is the best all around but the PvP just sucks

toggling out of backstabs is the dumbest shit ever

I love how in Bloodborne all the Dreams and Nightmares are connected and you can see each one from the others

I don't know if I ever noticed this! Granted, I never played the DLC if that's part of it.

This is my favorite.

Yeah, that's a really fun one. I can spend 15 minutes just staring off into space trying to chart out how the elevation levels work and how everything is related to the other areas if I'm not careful. I tend to get most thrown by Darkroot Basin -- it feels very low, but it's really probably about halfway "down" in the game world.

Not soulsbourne, but dragons dogma. I like how you can see for miles in the overworld, from Casardis (starting town) you can see Gran Soren (main hub city) in the distance. Then from Gran Soren you can see other places you'll visit much later in the game.

Also, Butterblack Isle took a lot of inspiration from soulsbourne games. You can unlock shortcuts back to the main area at certain points, such an underrated game IMO.
