I'm just saying they were trying to make it realistic and gritty but it still came across as dumb and campy, which is fine for a F13 movie. The only thing it has going for it is that Freddy's actually threatening. And that one scene in the pharmacy where the girl is drifting in and out of consciousness was pretty cool. Jack Earle Haley did really good job with the more sinister, threatening Freddy. And he even had a few moments with some dry humor that I appreciated. The Pharmacy scene was a real standout one. They had some cool ideas in the movie overall. I wouldn't mind seeing the concept Robert Englund had. The movie would have had a bunch of different versions of Freddy, melded off of what the individual characters were afraid of, or pictured him as.
