Every manga and anime i watch, if they show a character using smartphone to chat, the layout of the chat app is identical to line.

I used it back then, but it become a spam town with their LINE today newsletter thing you cannot opt out, plus it is a pain in the ass to transfer account if your phone got lost, and an account is bound the your phone/cannot logout unless you wipe everything clean, which is a very dumb ass move.

Whatsapp feel like the more superior, and telegram is lots better

I've never seen it outside of Japan, but there's no reason it couldn't be popular elsewhere.

Because some of the design are idiotic, anf i absolutely hate LINE TODAY.

I don't hate it, but it's true there's a lot here to dislike. There were a lot of extra features, stickers, and paywalled stuff I never touched in the years I used it. And I was always getting notifications from the app that didn't amount to anything. As soon as the person I was communicating with moved back stateside I dropped it in favor of texting.
