Tangentially related because you're the ISP dude: I moved like 20 miles, but my new ISP has godawful ping for gaming. It went from 40 ms on average to like 500. They're both cable. fml

It's fine in the weekend mornings but in the evenings when I'm home from work during peak traffic hours it's garbage. They're really overselling their capacity. Just venting I guess. ... Yeah, that's a huge problem with a number of ISPs. Spectrum has oversold their cable service in Austin, too. That's why I'm pushing to get Google Fiber installed at all of our locations. I think they stopped trying to expand to new cities, but their rollout in the cities they're in is nowhere near done. We have 20 locations that all house hubs for Google's fiber network, but they've only bothered to bring it in to our buildings and provide us with service at like 5 of those locations...
