Well, some guy at work (who is really unhygenic, lives in a hotel by the week, doens't wash his hands after the bathroom, etc) ended up with pink eye. I don't have insurance or anything, since it's just a temp agency position.

Is there any way to protect myself from losing my position? If I have a doctor's note, can they just fire me? I think since it's a "temp" position, they can literally pull anything out of their ass and claim it as a reason for letting me go.

I don't want to go in, but realize if I do, I will be possibly getting others sick, and the company will send me home anyway, and be more angry I didn't call in. But I hate calling in, because they think I'm faking.

Well, that is pink eye, right? It won't just get better on it's own. I hate having to work in close quarters with people who don't shower and clean properly.

The reason I caught it is that I was sharing tools with the guy who had it. I wasn't the only one either, so I'm curious if any co-workers also got sick.

pink eye can either be a virus or bacteria.. or an allergic reaction.

i would just forget about it until it goes away but i am just an internet doctor.

seriously i've had pink eye probably 10 times and every time i just let it go. i still have my vision and rub poop into my eye sockets.
