I keep repeating over and over again "it's a product of its time", but I can't find a movie that fits that phrase better than this one. I'll admit, when it first came out I also were one of those people that was praising the movie. Now after rewatching the film, I have no idea why I did. I used to also think that "plastic bag" scene was special and unique, now I roll my eyes at it:
