He's a class trainer in Destiny who has a role in the story of the expansion and sequel. The sequel's expansion then kills him off (not a spoiler, it was marketed that way). He is basically the only recognisable Destiny character (the only other contenders being the ghost, the speaker, and the lady who sells you microtransactions). Also, he's voiced by Nathan Fillion.
