Wilt chamberlain scored 100 points in a single game. Back when the NBA was actually exciting to watch.

That's much better than when the games are under 100 points. That is just boring.
But yeah, defense needs to step it up and the leading offense needs to manage the clock better.

but yeah, nba players are much more skilled offensively than years ago. shooting the three well is a must

Everything just seemed to make more sense with a normal shot clock.

25 points a quarter was about standard, 50 points at the half was about expected. 100-ish points by the end of the game was expected.

And the idea is you knew how well you were playing depending on whether you were over/under those milestones. And the idea that a team could score 110-115 points was actually exciting coz it was rare.

This just takes the specialness out of scoring over 100 points. Just makes a mockery out of the NBA.

Its gonna be a lot harder to compare players too now. I know its early in the season but Zach lavine is averaging 33ppg lol

30ppg has been the hallmark of good scorers in the league for about forever now. But now its like anybody can put up 30. Youre gonna have people growing up watching these kids thinking oh Allen iverson for example only averaged however many points, but Trae young averaged 35ppg so trae young is better lol

I dont know if thats coz hes genuinely improved or just cos scoring is up in the league as a whole. Hes the first Bull to have three 30 point games since Jordan. All this is gonna do is muddy the waters IMO
