The bigger tragedy here is L-Block vs Kefka.

Let us remember how many Final Fantasy games there are, and Kefka only appears in one mainline title. Hardly a face of the franchise. Meanwhile you have L-Block which is essentially a staple character of Tetris. The franchise wouldn't be the same without it. It's in every game, and that's something you can't say about Kefka. No no no

It is a shame but it speaks to the whole idea that not a lot of people on GameFAQs know everyone in the battle.

Half the time it's "I'll pick the one I actually know versus the one I don't"

The other half it's "I don't know either of these, but one's an interesting cute cartoony design and the other is just a dude".

Like I said, Majima's still a long shot because everyone knows Master X-Box Halo-man.

EDIT: Also Super Bomberman R is an actual new Bomberman game that came out as a launch title for the Switch (and a year later for everything else). Of course, I haven't finished it, because at the end of the day it's still just a Bomberman game. That said, the guest characters in VS. mode are ridiculous.

Kazuma Kiryu (most people, if they're going to pick one name, choose "Kiryu" instead if "Kazuma") is the protagonist of the Yakuza series of games. He most recently appeared in Yakuza Kiwami 2 this past August, and has starred in five games (including Yakuza 5, Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza 6) in the last three years.
