Earlier in May I made a commitment to diet and exercise regularly and specific fitness goals. It completely failed. But from now until June, my schedule should be relatively chill. Shouldn't have any more interruptions. No trips planned. Just regular work and studying. So certainly I can make time for fitness.

I've been eating relatively healthy for the past 2 days. I think tomorrow morning before work, I'll wake up early and workout. I've done it in the past where I counted calories and lost 20 healthy pounds, I was in great shape. I need to do that again.

So based on my 185lbs, my maintanence is ~2500 calories per day. So my goal will be ~1500 per day. Goal will be ~125g of protein, 140g carbs, and 50g fat. I think those are good numbers to shoot for. Starting tomorrow I will do cardio every morning and lift weights every afternoon.

Remember that if you put the work in and are disciplined with your eating, you can attain a similar level of fitness at any age. I'm 32 and I'm damn near on par with 19 year old me. Maybe even with slightly lower body fat because I'm much more knowledgeable about nutrition now. I'm still impressing myself by continually putting up more weight and doing new challenges.

I really take pride in it, because it seems rare to be thin or athletic these days. People consider that something just for people in high school or college, then eventually you're "too old" and it's fat city. Nah, you can stay that way for life if you want to. I even know guys 50+ that are easily in better shape than guys half their age. That's how I want to be.

1 mile on 1.0 incline this morning. I think that's a good start.

After work I'm gonna do some lifting.

Just drank black coffee and water this morning. I will start intermittent fasting as well since it fits my schedule so perfectly. I have a fixed lunch hour at 12 every day.

I think I'll stick to 1 mile on 1.0 incline for 3 days then 1 mile on 1.5 incline. Then when I feel good about it go to 1 mile on 2.0 incline, then increase my distance after that. Goal by the end of 4 weeks is 2 miles on 2.0 incline.
