What about slow speeds and high ping? That's even worse... I'm consistently getting 50mbps+ down and ~10mbps up, but ping is...ugh.. Is it because of testing location? I can't find any servers nearby on speedtest despite living in a large city. --- There sure are a lot of different mes just like you have a lot of different yous! Location/distance matters but shouldn't account for that much
I ping 10 ms in my city, and 220 ms to Perth, Australia (over 15,000 km away) You can do a traceroute to a destination address (like www.google.com) to see how many steps it takes and the ping associated with each step to see where it's slowing down On windows, you type cmd in the search (or run) bar and then type tracert www.google.com in the command line On mobile, there are apps that can do it for both iOS and Android --- Posted from my iPhone 8 ...
