Netflix is already releasing their own movies, but they're shitty direct to DVD quality for the most part. You think we have 10, 15 years before major studios start releasing their movies online?

Overall they seemed to be doing lower but then blockbusters seem to hold it up. I never want to see them die out unless there's a technology to make it feel as big as the theater experience.

maybe vr will be able to accomplish this in the future, for those that can't afford to build their own theater.
