Bigger the reward the better. Even though it's not tax free, it's still a lot and i'd rather have more money 0% (0 votes) 0 Speaking of the record breaking 1.6 billion jackpot in the United States where they are at lottery fever as people are desperately trying to win that massive prize, Canada is also having its own record breaking lottery...except the win is only 60 million and it will NEVER rise above it but it is TAX FREE... However, with the 60 million, they increase the "maxi-million" prize draw as that will increase and people can still win a MILLION dollars. After 7 numbers are drawn, if no one wins the big prize, they roll the numbers again several times and if people match those draws you can win a MILLION dollars causing several multi-million winners.. The latest lotto draw had 53 maxi-millions where they rolled the numbers again 53 times and 23 people won meaning 23 people are now "millionaires". In America, for Mega Millions the pot just keeps getting bigger if there are no winners and the sky is the limit...however they only roll the numbers once in each game and if no one wins 6/6 numbers, the prize increases but they wait until next time to roll the draw again... No one has won Canada's biggest lottery in over a month and 2 million tickets were sold across the country in the last draw but the odds of winning are much better at 1 in 28 million..compared to America's Mega Millions where it is 1 in 268 MILLION... In Canada's system, you have to match 7/7 numbers from 1-49. In America you have to match 6/6 numbers but from numbers 1-75.
