Yellow - A Gengar is close by if you feel a sudden chill. It may be trying to lay a curse on you.

Silver / SoulSilver - To steal the life of its target, it slips into the prey's shadow and silently waits for an opportunity.

FireRed - It is said to emerge from darkness to steal the lives of those who become lost in mountains.

Pearl - Lurking in the shadowy corners of rooms, it awaits chances to steal its prey's life force.

Platinum - The leer that floats in darkness belongs to a Gengar delighting in casting curses on people.

Sun - Should you feel yourself attacked by a sudden chill, it is evidence of an approaching Gengar. There is no escaping it. Give up.

Moon - It apparently wishes for a traveling companion. Since it was once human itself, it tries to create one by taking the lives of other humans.

Ultra Moon - Even your home isn't safe. Gengar will lurk in whatever dark corner of a room it can find and wait for its chance to catch its prey.

And then its Ultra Sun Mega Evolution Dex - It tries to take the lives of anyone and everyone. It will even try to curse the Trainer who is its master!

Sometimes, you have to be thankful that Pokemon don't actually exist.

Drifloon is worse

I don't know, isn't there a sand castle looking pokemon who lures pokemon to trap them and steal their life force?

I saw a pic of it digesting a pikachu, it made me go like :(

Here are Drifloon's pokedex entries

It tugs on the hands of children to steal them away.

It is whispered that any child who mistakes Drifloon for a balloon and holds on to it could wind up missing.

These Pokmon are called the "Signpost for Wandering Spirits." Children holding them sometimes vanish.

Stories go that it grabs the hands of small children and drags them away to the afterlife. It dislikes heavy children.

Its round body is stuffed with souls and expands each time it leads someone away.

Wandering souls gathered together to form this Pokmon. When trying to make friends with children, Drifloon grabs them by the hand.
