Maybe they try their hardest at every moment, but he's not born gifted enough. So he tries to take a step and other people tell him to sit the fuck back down at every turn.

Maybe sometimes he gets lucky and is given a chance to do something great, but by that point he's so discouraged and inexperienced that the people that gave him the chance simply abandons him.

What happens to that person? What if he's just destined to fall into obscurity until all he has left is menial labor and a life full of people who won't even love him? Because nobody in this world has the capacity to take care of a person like that, right? What's left for that person? Death?

So someone who was born into a shitty, dysfunctional family and has no hope of upward trajectory because they were never granted the upbringing, resources and education in order to be even remotely successful? I think there's a ton of people like that who have no chance despite their passion for something.

Tons of fine, passionate people are born into poverty and never find a way out of it.
