so you are basically a highschool loser? Given the info I've provided, a highschooler would def think that. --- itt my post is the best ... Copied to Clipboard!

That's my biggest fear of becoming a teacher is how weird it'd be... especially cus theres a very good chance I'd eventually end up at my old hs @Space_Man Honestly it's not too weird all things considered. It's actually a really enjoyable environment (so far). Endless co-workers that are more often than not very friendly. Classroom dynamic can be interesting and fun (though I work in an affluent neighborhood; not sure how it is elsewhere). It's interesting to see stuff from the other side of the fence and being older, as I understand more concretely now why I felt certain ways about teachers I had in school (whether I liked or disliked them). It's also interesting to see a highschoolers perspective. They're at an age where certain traits of their personality/life are starting to get solidified but they're not aware that nothing is quite as solidified as it ever seems. One teacher I talked to who used to work at a college said that college was more enjoyable in a way because you just go and lecture and leave, whereas at a highschool you have to sort of be more involved with them personally and also manage classroom behavior. He worked at the college for 4 years and he's been working at the highschool now for 10 years and counting, so go figure. Also, if a kid only recognizes you but isn't 100% convinced they should like you, they will avoid the FUCK out of making eye contact with you in the halls lol. Also, be careful of where your eyes wander. --- itt my post is the best ... Copied to Clipboard!
