Obviously you never picked up a history book. It's thanks to him that Chile didn't become a drug warzone like Peru and Colombia did, or completely degenerate like Venezuela did, or even become as dangerous as Brazil. In fact Chile IS supposed to be the most successful and cleanest and safest country in South America today and it is all thanks to him. I have been to most of these countries myself.
