Its really simple.

- n

You mash em together to get as in (hangeul) which is what youre learning

Now lets get a little more advanced.

is like j
is like jj

Now native Koreans will act like these are two different sounds even though they sound. Exactly. The. Same.

And now my wife and I arent talking because we got into a big argument about how to pronounce

Im exaggerating. We didnt get into an argument. But she did call me a little bitch. >_>
