Kombucha 10/14/18 9:39:09 AM #3:	Yeah, I saw a nice mini documentary on the longevity of the platform and it was pretty pathetic. Many companies would claim that their product could do long term storage for many years but in reality much of them ended up corrupting data after as little as 7 years. I've personally experienced corrupted optical media. It was a garbage platform and honestly tapes are still the best solution for long term storage which is why projects like the wayback machine actively use them. You could also take the approach that it was bulky and inefficient, but that's pretty obvious.
