Played part way through the first, but 2 was on sale so I'm probably going to just jump into it. Any beginner tips guys?

Not completely necessary, but make sure your team focuses on either physical or magic damage, otherwise fights may take twice as long.

If you can't open a chest, remember you can stuff the entire chest in your pocket and dump it at a fast travel point for later access.

If you're using an undead character in the party, give them the skill that lets them lockpick easier, since they can do it without consuming an item.

Sebille and Red Prince have character quests early on that require them to talk with the same NPC. Make sure to talk with him with the Red Prince first, and have Sebille standing far away from the rest of the party.

The game warns you when you're about to move into a different Act - you might wanna use a guide to clean up sidequests before advancing.
