What happened to him? still in jail, trial is in about a month. Still havent seen a single thing that points to his guilt. He and I think somebody else did it and he is being the fall guy. possibly to cover for a parent/family members wrongdoing.

I've seen so little evidence(though of course I have not met with his lawyer, just stuff he's told me and people who have spoken to the lawyer) if it doesnt get dropped I am wondering what they will present the judge? a blank piece of white paper? Its so bad, with the police doing so many shady things it seems like(cant confirm some of these accusations of what cops did though) my friend, if he gets out, is realistically looking to sue I think.

Uhh, no.

What he and I think is somebody(one of the parents, a family member, or a family friend) did the alleged acts, and HE is being the scapegoat. The kid is being coached to blame my friend when he didnt do it.

if that makes sense. maybe fall guy wasnt the right word. I have zero reason to not believe my friend, in addition to seeing zero evidence pointing to his guilt thusfar outside of the initial claim, which isnt evidence.

I have zero reason to believe he did it. Of course things will be presented at the trial but I have seen zero evidence whatsoever thusfar. Literally zero evidence outside of the initial claim, which as I said, isn't evidence.

I am also not believing my friend because he is my friend. I was fully prepared to cut him loose if I had to, but I have zero doubts about my friends character and have offered if need be to act as a character witness at his trial.

The only thing is, this crime is the most heinous crime one can be accused of in modern society. It is going to be a jury trial, and while I dont know what the prosecution will present, I have seen zero evidence so far, you dont know what a jury is going to do. ive already seen facebook mobs say the usual, he's guilty because "just look at him!", I hope he gets raped in prison, bullet through his brain, castration, etc etc. Even going to far as people asking why the family would hire a male babysitter, as if its suspect(despite the fact these people live in the same city fred rodgers did his work in). Ive heard the worst. who knows, maybe the jury will have one 4chan doofus on it who thinks homeless shelter camps are actual pedo sex slave camps or something and sees stuff where there isnt anything. its just weird.

so who knows what the jury will do.

edit: of course, the prosecution could also present evidence that makes me question my friend. anything is possible. I see that as being highly unlikely, but I havent ruled out the possibility
