I troubleshooted the problem and fixed it by replacing the SATA data cables. The cable was bad and causing my computer to freeze during a game download, or whenever the drive was being used. I thought I had a bad drive but turns out it was a bad cable.

Soooooooo...if you guys have freezing problems on your desktop then it can be one of the possibilities that it is a bad cable.
