Black Lightning season two is over; good season overall. It sometimes feels like it it's going at a strange direction or pace, but I think you just have to accept that it marches to its own beat. It looks like the next season is going to raise the stakes.

If the average episode had even half the action this episode had I would be a lot happier. That's been my only complaint. Way too many episodes that had zero action.

I did like them using the same villain more than one season in a row though, one it's different and two it makes him seem more intimidating.

Yeah, BL didn't get much action this season. It was usually Thunder, Khalil, Cutter, or some other random character.

I remember one episode where he was in costume just long enough to ask a dude a question. No action at all the rest of the episode iirc. Then another where him and thunder showed up just to quickly disarm some bombs.

They should have had to is get the pod kids sooner so they could had a villain of the week thing going

That wouldn't have been a bad idea. That could still happen in season three, although the Markovians would bring a third party into the situation.

Seems like all the recent Arrowverse episodes have been pretty good. Arrow answers some questions about Emiko, Supergirl finally ties Supercomrade into the plot, and Barry throws Nora into Speedster timeout.

And now Emily Bett Rickards is leaving Arrow at the end of this season. Two major points stuck out for me: A) I don't get why she wouldn't stick around for ten more episodes unless there was some legitimate reason she couldn't, and 2) Felicity haters are absolutely rejoicing. People really need to get a life. (And that's coming from a guy who made two threads about pretty girls from comic book shows.)

Legends was as fun as always.

And I gotta say, Lex and his agenda have saved this season of Supergirl. The last few episodes have been very good.

I thought the Hawaiian monster was supposed to be a deity of some kind. I thought someone said something about him being a god on the show

anyway, I'm hyped for the season finale of Arrow. on twitter Stephen Amell said that whatever it is, it made him almost break into tears and shock. it's supposed to be something HUGE

and I want to see Crisis on Infinite Earths next fall. supposedly the crisis will tie in directly wit the ending to Arrow

also can't wait for Batwoman. I liked the actress in last Crisis. I think they picked the right choice

yeah I think demi god. not positive. but whatever he is seems to have werewolf like qualities just not completely the same.

its weird my step dad predicted his involvment several episodes ago. when the female cicada showed up from the future I think is when he called it.

Why did he have such an elaborate suit at all? If he doesn't show up again at some point, that was a waste of a one-off villain.

my step father's theory is he will likely be the real end of the season threat, or at least heavily involved. his theroy is hes how female cicada got back into the past (or present day for the series) as the pod they found required a speedster to operate it. so yeah having him as a one off would be kinda dumb.

And people have pointed out the stupidity of Barry punishing Nora for working with Thawne by sending her back to Thawne.

It's true that that was the only real choice he had, but her point this time was more that he made the decision on his own, just like with Nora. These are decisions that impact everyone, and he barely included them at all. In Nora's case he didn't even tell anyone until afterward.

i'm kicking myself for missing the last episode. fucking CW with all these breaks they take, I hadn't gotten mentally used to it was back on and spaced it last episode.

I don't mind the spoilers. hell if someone wants to give me a short rundown of what happened thats cool.

maybe. they might have some stuff on the other, but I think the other will probably cost more. DCU will be for those who just want the DC content

Good episodes of Supergirl, Legends and Arrow (although it's rare for me to say I disliked an episode). Arrow in particular was good.

You know, I gotta say, Nia is really damn cute. She seemed particularly charming this episode.

it didn't last long enough. she wasn't even a villain for a full episode. and all I wanted was one fight against her dad. but it never happened

someone else said she should have been the final boss of the season. they could have gone a different route in the story and make her become a powerful enemy that is basically a female Reverse Flash

It didn't really make much sense for her to go evil in the first place. Yes, Barry was being a dick. But Dad being a dick once should not turn a hero into a villain.

normally but in this case she is being manipulated by a super villain. maybe his plan was to turn her from Barry into HIS daughter

It's possible. He did seem concerned when she tapped into the negative Speedforce.

..I've been waiting so long for Kara to just tell Lena that she's Supergirl. At this point it seems like they're just saving it for when Lena finally goes bad.

Oof. Double blow with The Flash. I don't know what Supergirl or Legends have in store for the finales, but they can't be more heart wrenching than the last two days.

And the season is now officially over. Supergirl finale was okay; not too good or bad. Legends was very.. Legends. But it was heartwarming and not without some loss.

Even the Monitor was amused by their antics.

Hmm. I decided to have a go at the DC Universe streaming service, and ... none of these shows belong to it. I realize that there are rights and ownership issues, but this is, barring the DC Animated Universe, the most successful branch of the franchise, so I hope it comes to the app, one day.

Netflix still has it. But Netflix supposedly will lose it soon like in a year or 2 maybe

That's still strange that they wouldn't have their money maker on the service by default..
