The "Talking Sense" channel was made without his permission and before they started uploading to the "official" channel if I recall. Jim allowed it cause it was pretty much free advertising and he didn't know you could make money off of youtube. Then his co-host Brian told him he could and that the guy was making money off of Jim's content. That led to them putting up clips on their "official" channel. They also ended up getting a cut from the "Talking Sense" channel. Eventually the official channel got demonetized for "duplication" since the other channel existed too and had a lot of the same clips. The Talking Sense channel still was monetized. Cornette seems to have demanded a bigger cut and the owner of the Talking Sense channel just went and closed everything. The appeal on the official channel got denied also.
