He's right. Trump's strength has always been to rip victimhood away from actual victims and give it to people who aren't victims. The white nationalists, the Republican Party, the coal industry, the elderly, straight men, sexual assault acusees, rich people; Trump has made players in all of these courts feel victimized by "the left, the liberals, the dems, the feds, the deep state" while also putting down those who actually suffered or were victims of oppression. I was gonna say. Odd to throw the elderly on there, TC. Well, it's a different kind of victimizing. Yes they are subjected to pharmaceutical companies, theft and robbery, and other health/welfare problems, but Trump has them convinced that they're suffering because of POC, LGBT, muslims, "liberals", etc. And not because his fellow cronies are jerking off under the table --- Rainbow Dashing: "it's just star wars" AutumnEspirit: *kissu* ... Jon Stewart was always being funny with it, though. He almost never stopped and just talked about an issue. Someone's memory is poor. Stewart might be more skilled than Noah and better at masking his views behind a screen of humor, but he didn't hesitate to let his views be known. You're making demands about comedians not being political, but apparently, only when you don't find it funny. SaithSayer posted... Yes but now we have comedians being interviewed as if they were politicians. It's moronic. What's moronic about it? What makes comedians less qualified to comment? --- CyricZ ... Copied to Clipboard!

I've never hidden having a shitty memory. I regularly have to tell someone that remembers me to remind me of their name.
Stewart being the better comic and better host with a better understanding of keeping people happy and liking him is probably the reason I don't recall much of him just talking politics without being funny. Either which way, things are nuttier than ever and it's a walk on eggshells society these days. The smart move is for comedians to back away from politics in general when off the stage. People get off on finding something to lose their minds about and it isn't worth having your career fucked with over a matter of opinion. Edit: The bolded part is what's moronic about it. They're as qualified as your average Joe and they aren't politicians. It's on par with the idiots you hear saying "Hell, I'D be a better president than ____!" when they don't know shit about what the job entails. it isn't worth having your career fucked with over a matter of opinion This is an odd turn. So, what, you're suggesting comedians shouldn't be political, because they otherwise might jeopardize their career? That's an altruistic turn that certainly wasn't apparent in your earlier posts.
