Almost every time I see a baseball game on TV, or like right now when I'm watching a compilation of baseball highlights, the stands are pretty much like 20% full.

Now I think that's because Baseball is played really early in the game (Saved By The Bell showed me this, lol) so is that the reason why? I know that during the big games the seats are packed, but baseball really draws low.

It isn't like that with Hockey or Football, every time I see a game the stands are full. I guess baseball has a lot more games, right? Sometimes two in a single day.

Sounds like you're watching highlights of the Orioles.

But yeah, ratings and attendance is down, but the Cubs fill almost all of their 40,000+ seats every night.

It's an issue, but it's not close to devastating to the sport. Even the NFL has lowered ratings and attendance.

Baseball stadiums are generally twice the size or more than basketball and hockey arenas.

Sure football stadiums are just as big or bigger, but they play less than 20 games a year. Baseball plays 160 or so.

Um, that's not what I'm talking about here. I'm talking about seeing like 30 people in the stands

26 of the 30 teams average more than 20k people per game. That is 81 games in that one stadium averaging over 20k per game.

Yup, nobody cares.

There are ~162 games in a season. Unless your team is a post season contender or a bigger market team like the Yanks or the Doyers, don't expect packed stadiums. Even then, the better the team is doing, the higher the ticket prices: so that times roughly 162 or 80 home games a season is a lot to anyone but die hard fans.

12 of those average over 30k per game. That's nearly half the MLB.

They need to move that team somewhere else, cause they've been terrible for a number of years despite times they might have a competitive team.

Nah, they just suffer from horrible ownership and Derrick Jeter not knowing what to do. Every time that team won a WS, the next season they have a bargain sale on their top players and get next to nothing for them.

As said in the topic title, I wanted to know why. I don't watch baseball, I never have. All I watch are YouTube clips sometimes and a lot of those times the crowd is no-existent unless it's like World Series highlights

I'm not trying to troll you fans, I wanted to know more. Stop being so sensitive
