Its the first time someone got a hold of one of my credit cards. I think there was a fraud card reader at a sketchy gas station I went to a few nights ago.

But I started wondering, isnt purchasing something off amazon giving yourself up?? Amazon ships the product to your address. I called my credit card and called amazon and theyre stopping the charge. But now Amazon knows who the person that stole my card is, right?

They probably shipped it to an address within driving distance and they'll just use track shipping to know when it's arriving so they can porch snatch it when it gets there.

I guess thats a good point. Its still ballsy though.

Amazon couldnt even tell me where it was shipping to, or what the product even was. I thought that was kind of annoying.

They probably shipped it to one of those Amazon containers. Either way, pretty scummy.

Do Amazon have parcel lockers in the US? Like you order it to the locker and get sent a code to get your parcel. That could be one way of them avoiding being found out.

you should be fine. cancel your cards and if your card has fraud protection activate it. this fucker won't get away with it if he's found and caught.
