Tom Hardy has a tough acting coach his son Louis!

The proud dad, 41, told Entertainment Tonight at the Venom premiere in Los Angeles that he relied on 10-year-old Louis as he prepared to star in the Spider-Man spinoff.

He was pretty much in the driving seat for a lot of it, and I did use him as my anthology and my mythology wizard, Hardy said. He told me what I was doing wrong, and I was doing more things wrong than I was doing right because children are deeply honest. He was my little spirit guide in that aspect.

Hardy has already faced his harshest critic: As far as Im concerned, I passed his [test], and thats the best I can do.

Damn, son.
This is reminds me of when Paul Rudd told his son he got the role of Ant-Man and the kid was unimpressed because he didn't know who that was. But that was more cute.

So his son was okay with the Elmer Fudd voice?

Eddie just being some wimpy dude instead of an angry and frustrated man?

So who exactly instructed Hardy to play the role talking like he was suffering from extreme brain damage?
Seriously. Who made that call?

I never in a million years thought I'd be saying Topher Grace played a better Eddie Brock, but unless the movie has a bunch of shit that the trailers didn't show, it's starting to look like that might be the case.

In terms of child savagery, I don't think anything will ever top Dennis Hopper's 8-9 (?) year old son asking him why He did the Super Mario Bros. Movie. 'To buy you shoes,' Dennis answered. 'I didn't need shoes that badly,' the kid replied.

That looks to be the only good part of the movie so whoever it was you should thank them.
