Current Events > So I started playing Until Dawn (Spoilers as I go along)

I haven't gotten that far. I'm after the second time you talk with Peter Stormare psychologist guy. I dunno if the first choice at the start with the sisters would've made huge difference but I chose to let go and both died.

Then later, I chose to snoop in the bag and look at the phone, then I shot the squirrel. Chris seems like an annoying douche so I'm making everyone hate him. Matt and that Asian girl I made sure they got into trouble with eachother as soon as possible.

Right now I'm Chris and following Josh. Also I'm still confused by the characters and mixing them up a bit.

I'll update when I do big things like butterfly effect stuff. Oh yeah, I threw the snowball with Ashley on that bird >_>

I didnt use the motion. The slow walking I think adds to the tension. Also my advice dont go with first impressions on characters, the game has pretty darn good character development

I'm on chapter 3 now.

I chose to side with Jess with Matt, I think Em is a bitch and Matt can get better, I also chose stuff that made her dislike me more in chapter 2.

Mike and Jess I want to keep them happy together, even if I think Mike is kinda dumb with the whole Em thing I think he seems to be nice anyway. So I chose to jump down and be heroic at the mine.

Then in the basement I left the baseball bat there, but that's kinda weird since I didn't feel the choices was about taking it with or not.

Chris still feels like a tool, Josh seems weird but he lost his sisters a year ago so no wonder really.

The controls still feel weird, half the time it looks like I'm a drunk character following someone. And sometimes it's hard to see anything really with the weird angles and stuff.

I am enjoying the setting and the b horror movie vibe, thing the sound and music is well done and the jumpscares are cheesy but fun. It does immerse me into this horror movie thing. And I love the whole stat stuff and the drama between characters.

No spoilers but fair warning. I think the ending of that game is handled poorly. Trying to understand the bullshit you have to do to get the outcome you want seemed poorly designed.

So if you don't like how it ends, quickly turn off the game and replay that bit. That's what I would do lol

Things are starting to happen now.
So it seems like Jess prob died last chapter. Not much big choices last chapter tho, mostly me making Mike more romantic and stuff with Jess. I was also serious with Ashley with the whole Ouija Board thing.

but that is what makes her awesome

she is by far my favorite character in the game
you can make choices to make her less bitchy but why would you?
she is awesome the way she is and her playable segments are some of the most exciting in the game

pay attention to the stat gains to find my least favorite character
whenever you make ashley show regret or be sorry for her part in the prank her honesty stat goes down which means she is lying

there are many more scenes that show her as a two faced bitch but not everyone sees them cause they are optional

with em what you see is what you get
if she likes you she will let you know it and if she doesnt she will let you know it to

i kind of view until dawn as the reverse heavy rain

in heavy rain the game is pretty much the same no matter what choices you make except that the ending is vastly different based on your choices

where as in until dawn the final level is the same overall no matter what you do but the rest of the game has a lot of variations to it based on your decisions

emily, matt and sam have the most exciting playable segments. of course emily's are more intense for the simple fact that sam and matt are the focus of the final level and thus cant die until that point so no matter how badly you screw up as them they cant die for 99% of the game where as emily can die everytime she is in danger

You haven't missed much

As the guy said if she lives you only play as her again right at the end of the game in a lackluster chapter.

The game seems to assume she died.

jessica is actually pretty hard to keep alive on your first playthrough so dont worry about it to much
and yeah her final late game chapter is pretty short and lackluster. jessica was made to be a victim and as such she basically lifts right out of the story

No, I'll play it thought with whatever happens.

Anyway, in the Sanitorium as Mike, I looked at the hand thingy and got trapped in the bear trap. I chose to free myself and not cut my fingers, which meant I lost the machete.

Then I became friendly with the dog, when the QTE happened I thought it was him petting the dog like you see in the totem, but apparently he would've kicked it lol, lucky I missed. I gave the dog a bone too.

Then as Matt I wanted Em to crawl in the window but she still didn't, then I agreed with her to go to the Fire Tower.

Now I'm Sam in a towel.

Damn I lost Matt. I hit the deer with my axe then missed qte in the cliff and died. Em might be dead? Fire Tower collapsed, either way I kept the flare gun and then talked calm in the radio.
