I've never actually read interview with a vampire, but I've watched the movie and queen of the damned so I got the gist of it.

Anyways, so far it's a really interesting book. I'm really liking Lestat.

its really good. I think its better than Interview. Interview makes you think lestat is an asshole. but then you read his book and you sympathize with him

btw after you finish, 2 other books I recomend from the same author

"The Mummy, or Ramses The Damned"

"Servant of the Bones"

both stand alone novels about other types of immortals in the world of Anne Rice

Lestat is an asshole but I can also sympathize with him.

Good series though queen of the damned was kinda weird

Pertaining to the movies I was a bit confused.

In Interview, Lestat is in...SF I think all weak when Brad Pitt found him. Then he sucks the interview guy and is healthy again.

But in Queen of the Damned, Lestat said he was sleeping in that tomb until music woke him up or something. Was there a time skip I'm missing?

From what I understand, yes.

The last scene with Lestat (where he's afraid of the light) is in New Orleans. It was a bit different in the book.

In the book a few new vampires are looking after Lestat. One of them brings him a baby, then they leave in disgust. Louis talks to Lestat, then takes the baby back to wherever it came from.

In TVL, Lestat says that never happened. It's never further elaborated on who's telling the truth.

Most of them involve Lestat.

The next one (Blood Communion) is released this coming Tuesday.
